Historic Buildings

Working within a historic building can be fascinating and inspiring, but it is also time consuming, restrictive and requires a certain sympathy with the building and its environment.

We have many years’ experience working with listed and historic buildings and appreciate that working closely with the professional team is the only way to maintain the building’s character whilst achieving our client’s requirements.

Hive has been working at the Palace of Westminster for many years, providing MEP technical support to the Parliamentary works department, as well as developing the detailed design for refurbishment projects within the building. We have also worked with buildings within St John’s College Oxford, Thoresby Hall in Newark and Hackney Town Hall.
